Shiva Shakti Foods caters for all things Asian in the heart of the Asian shopping area –Belgrave Road. Rajesh Pabari is one of the three brothers who owns and runs the shop. Their father Dwarkadas Pabari bought a single terraced house on 4 McDonald Road in 1982 to open a shop that would cater for all the Asian food. The people in the area appreciated the shop where their daily Asian goods could be purchased. Sadly, their father passed away at a young age of 47 and the three brothers had to grow up quickly carrying forward the trade. Hasmukh, the eldest of the three brothers took over the business and quickly learnt the ropes of shop keeping. The other two younger brothers left study to join in with running the shop after their father’s death. The business was made successful and an opportunity arose to buy the house next door. They managed to secure its purchase and expanded the premises. As luck would have it, a few years after that another opportunity to buy the third house also came knocking. In 2019, they have converted these three properties into a mini supermarket that caters for the Asian food supplies. Some of the highlights of the shop was that they have seen a fair few celebrities in the area and even inside their shop! Bollywood Film actress Simi Ghrewal dropped in to buy a box of mangoes. Dev Ananda once dropped in to buy some fruits and Tun Tun also dropped in to do some shopping. As well as this, Teresa May also popped in too. followed by Keith Vaz and other Councillors.
